Terror in Reproduction (2010-2011)

Terror in Reproduction (2010-2011) combines the phantasmic illusion of media, critisced by Jean Baudrillard in The Spirit of Terrorism (2003) with the duality of representation in Jasper John's Corpse & Mirror (1974-75) and the muted exasperation of restrained communication in Jim Dine’s Car Crash (1960). In this combination of sources, I hope to create work that helps us to come to terms with visual representations of this now-current recent history of the war on terror.
